Grain, Feeding stuffs, Fertilizer, Building Materials, General Cargo
Getreide Service Rostock GmbH (GSR) handles the import and export of grain, fertilizer, oilseeds, building materials and general cargo in this port section at three berths with a max. draft of 13 m.
GSR is equipped with a ship loader with a hourly performance of 1000 tons. The ships are discharged via unloaders capable of moving up to 300 tons of cargo per hour.
Modern loading and unloading stations for trucks and wagons and also rail connected berths assure a speedy handling of grain.
The silo capacity of GSR for grain amounts to 85,000 tons.
GSR is a grain handling and storage company accredited GMP+, GTP and as well as GSR and Düngemittel Dienstleistung Rostock GmbH are certified to ISO 9001:2008.
Additional handling of bulk and general cargo is possible at berth 16. There are 3 cranes and for storage of cargo sufficient open store areas are available.
The fertilizer quay operated by Düngemittel Dienstleistung Rostock GmbH is equipped with a ship loader with a capacity of 600 tons/hour, wagon unloading station, conveyor and belt system. There are two special fertilizer sheds with a storage capacity of 60,000 tons.
